At Le Terre di Gu we cultivate the land by looking to the past with modern, ethical, ecological and sustainable methods. Gu is our very personal way of living in harmony with the land while respecting ancient values.
Le Terre di Gu is a small farm in Tenno with a few native cows, some laying hens and more than 10 hectares of reclaimed land belonging to the valley, dedicated to forest, meadow and pasture, olive, chestnut, fruit trees and vegetable gardens.
Our house is a newly renovated old building in the village of Pranzo. The old stable on the ground floor, with old faces and stone walls, now hosts the Bottega di Gu and together with the small agritur restaurant, are intimate and cozy spaces that smell like home.
In our shop you can buy extra virgin olive oil, mixed boxes of freshly harvested vegetables, chestnuts, berries of our lands, jams and preserves, our delicious pickles in oil or vinegar. You can also enjoy traditional Trentino dishes cooked with love by mamma Rosanna.
Upstairs you will find four comfortable and bright rooms decorated in the colors of the land. They are called Noal, La Val, Lavè and Albi and bear the names of our precious terraced fields. From the rooms the view is stunning.
The top floor, that had been renovated with larch wood, is where we live with our sons Daniel and Hermann.
We are located in the hills at 500 meters above sea level on the edge of the village of Pranzo, immersed its quiet and surrounded by woods, fields and mountains.
At Le Terre di Gu we guard the knowledge of the past. Gu is more than a philosophy, it’s a lifestyle that fills us with pride. Gu is also proof that a fairer world is possible and that we can all live by nature, leaving the world as it was given to us and possibly better.
